Making Disciples is a four-day workshop that trains parish leaders to fostering the awakening of personal faith in Christ and intentional discipleship. Making Disciples will help you learn:

How intentional discipleship differs from and fosters Catholic identity and is the source of the spiritual life and foundation of effective pastoral ministry.

How discipleship makes catechesis a life-changing experience.

How to introduce post-modern people to Jesus and the Church.

How to recognize the pre-discipleship stages of spiritual growth, How to facilitate spiritual growth in the baptized and non-baptized.

Ways of sharing your own personal witness ad the "Great Story" of Jesus in gentle, intriguing, and non-threatening ways.

How the charisms help spiritual seekers make the journey to intentional discipleship.

How parish based evangelization processes and other existing parish programs can help create a parish culture of discipleship.

How to integrate these evangelizing skills and concepts into the full spectrum of parish life and ministry.

The evangelizing awareness and skills learned in Making Disciples are being used by diocesan and parish leaders as part of Catholics Come Home outreaches, in RCIA, evangelization, young adult and campus ministry, gifts and vocational discernment, and in nearly any kind of ministry situation imaginable.   These skills are also being used by Catholics with family, friends, and co-workers in secular settings.

Making Disciples is available in the original retreat format (6 pm Sunday through noon on Thursday) or in a two weekend retreat format (6pm Thursday through 3pm Saturday) with practical "homework” between weekends.
