Wichita, KS: July 21-23, 2021
Spiritual Life Center in Wichita, KS
The event will be held at Spiritual Life Center operated by the Diocese of Wichita.
The nickname for MD 201 is "Kerygma Boot Camp". 201 focuses on how to effectively communicate the Great Story of Jesus (i.e., kerygma). Leaders will have the opportunity to hear the kerygma for themselves, in this time and place. They will also explore the importance of integrating the regular proclamation of the kerygma into the life of the parish/diocese so that everyone has the opportunity to respond to Jesus' invitation to follow him in the midst of his Church.
We will also cover how to share it with others
and then teach these skills to those you serve in your pastoral setting!
Those who complete 101, 201 and the follow-up assignments can be considered for certification as Ananias Leaders: qualified to raise up Ananiases in their pastoral setting.
Please note: this is an intensive training designed for those who are involved in the work of evangelization and disciple-making in their parish, diocese or apostolate. The content presumes you have a working knowledge of the information found in Forming Intentional Disciples and some field experience.
Prerequisites:
You must come having read Forming Intentional Disciples.
Completion of MD 101 or previous Making Disciples Event (with instructor approval).
If you are coming with others as a team, you must have read and discussed the book together prior to your arrival.
We encourage organizations to send teams of no more than 5. Discounts are available for 5 or more from the same parish, diocesan office or apostolate.
