Qualified mentors are asked to commit to walking with one small group from the beginning of the process to its completion. Ideal candidates are disciples of Jesus Christ and faithful, practicing Catholics. They are first and foremost experienced practitioners in evangelization and disciplemaking within a Catholic context. They need not be professional paid staff but should possess at least two years experience as an evangelizing practitioner in a parish, diocese or apostolate.
A key competent of this unique 2-year formation process are mentors. Generation of Saints Mentors are key persons on the Generation of Saints team. Mentors serve as continuous group leaders and companions to a group of 6-8 persons during the 2-year formation process. They also communicate back to the leadership team pertinent feedback and insights to help them refine the formation process for future cohorts.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing the principles outlined in Forming Intentional Disciples: The Path to Knowing and Following Jesus as well as experience with the resources of the Catherine of Siena Institute: The Called & Gifted™ Discernment Process, Ananias Training, and previous Making Disciples seminars. Preferential hiring will be given to those who have completed Called & Gifted™ Team Training, Ananias Leader Training and/or a previous Making Disciples seminar with experience implementing these processes on the ground.Interested in Serving as a GOS Mentor?
This is a stipend paid position projected to start in Fall 2025 and conclude in June 2027. Candidates are required to attend training in Colorado Springs May 30 - June 1, 2025.
