MAKING DISCIPLES 101

As leaders, we need to think through, in advance, how to help all in our parish who are not yet disciples to negotiate that journey. The issues at stake are extraordinarily high for individuals, for the Christian community, for the Church, and for the world. – Forming Intentional Disciples, pg. 184.
MD 101 is the first in a series that forms and equips priests, deacons and pastoral leaders to become leaders who are "fruit farmers": leading a parish or ministry team that helps people become intentional disciples who bear fruit for the life of the world.
Leaders will learn how to:- recognize the thresholds in the lives of those they serve;
- have threshold conversations;
- evaluate programs and ministries in light of the thresholds;
- take the first steps in becoming parishes of intentional disciples.
Please note: this is an intensive training designed for those who are involved in the work of evangelization and disciple-making in their parish, diocese or apostolate. The content presumes you have a working knowledge of the information found in Forming Intentional Disciples and some field experience.
Prerequisites:
You must come having read and discussed with others Forming Intentional Disciples.
If you are coming with others as a team, you must have read and discussed the book together prior to your arrival.
We encourage organizations to send teams of no more than 5. Discounts are available for 5 or more from the same parish, diocesan office or apostolate. -
