We are delighted to announce that the Lilly Foundation has awarded the Catherine of Siena Institute a $1.25 million dollar grant for "Who are our Generation of Saints for Today?”.
"The program is funded through Lilly Endowment’s Thriving Congregations Initiative. The aim of the national initiative is to strengthen Christian congregations so they can help people deepen their relationships with God, build strong relationships with each other and contribute to the flourishing of local communities and the world.
“Who are our Generation of Saints forToday?” will help parishes and dioceses create an evangelization strategy called a discipleship pathway to raise up members equipped to be an evangelizing presence within the parish as well as outside in the community. The goal for this 5-year effort is to further develop this project and raise the funding necessary to make it more accessible and affordable to communities with limited resources, particularly urban, small town, multicultural, and Hispanic communities. For participating congregations, this project will allow them to not only grow as congregations but also reach out to the larger community as a healing and transformative presence in society."
We are super excited and so grateful to God for this tremendous provision! We would really welcome your prayers!
